BIRTHDAY EMOJI WITH PAPERTREY INK

Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a fun, emoji-themed birthday card featuring the Build-An-Emoji die set from Papertrey Ink’s latest release. This set includes a variety of emoji accessories and facial features-the mix and match possibilities are truly endless!

To begin, I created a bold black and white background by stamping the Birthday Background Stamp in black ink onto white cardstock. I then die cut a vellum layer using the second largest rounded rectangle from Rounded Rectangles Die Collection. and adhered it over the stamped background.

Next, I die cut the emoji and accessories and ink blended them with the following Distress Oxides:

Emoji– Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo

Sunglasses– Black Soot

Mouth– Black Soot

I die cut some confetti from The Bigs Congrats To The Grad set and ink blended the pieces with Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Carved Pumpkin, and Kitsch Flamingo.

I adhered the emoji and accessories to the front panel, then stamped “Happy” with Hibiscus Burst ink and Birthday in black ink to complete the sentiment. I finished the card with a thin white border layer over a grey mat.
