Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I’m sharing a floral card featuring the Love To Layer: Playful Scallops die and beautiful coneflowers from Papertrey Ink’s June Release.
To start, I created a black and white background by hotfoiling black foil with the Wing Serenity hotfoil plate onto A2 sized white cardstock.
Next, I added a Skinny Diagonal Frame onto the panel with foam tape.

I die cut two scalloped ovals from white cardstock using the Love To Layer: Playful Scallops. I ink blended the smaller scalloped oval wth Wilted Flower Distress Oxide and the larger oval with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide.
Next, I die cut the coneflowers, leaves, and stems and ink blended them using the following Distress Oxides:
Petals: Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Salvaged Patina
Flower Centers: Fossilized Amber, Squeezed Lemonade
Stems and Leaves: Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint
After assembling the flowers, I added a splatter of white acrylic paint for texture. I then arranged and adhered all the elements onto the card front.
To finish, I added an uplifting sentiment from This Is Big Sentiments: Thinking Of You and a butterfly from the Wing Serenity set, stamped in black ink.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you like my card!
