Hello Crafty Friends! Today I’m sharing a fresh and cheerful lemon themed card created with the Into The Blooms: Lemon Blossom die set from Papertrey Ink’s May Release!
To begin, I ink blended a tile background on A2 White Cardstock using the Weathered Tile Stencil with Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky Dye Ink. I then added a white frame using the Reflections: John 1 Die from a previous release, and layers a white arch from the Love To Layer: Arches die set on top.
The lemon blossoms were die cut from White Cardstock. I ink blended the images with the following distress oxides: lemons with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade, leaves with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters, flower centers with Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed, and the branch with Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain.
I added Shimmer Spray to the images for extra texture, dotted the flower buds with Nuvo Glitter Drops, and used an orange pencil crayon to add highlights to the lemons.
To finish, I added a coordinating sentiment layered on Vellum over Spring Rain Cardstock.
