Hello Crafty Friends! Summer is almost here and I’m excited to share a fun, ice cream themed Thank You card featuring the Pull n’Slide Surprise die set.
I began by creating a rainbow stencilled background on A2 White Cardstock using the Rainbow Stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, and Salty Ocean.
Next, I die cut the movable frame from the Pull n’ Slide Surprise set using Metallic Silver Cardstock. Using a craft knife, I cut a window to create a sliding glass door effect, backed it with Clear Acetate, and secured it in place.
I die cut another movable frame from White Cardstock, ink blended it using the Brick Stencil and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide then splattered it with black watercolor. I trimmed away the inside and adhered the frame over the silver panel.
For the countertop, I stencilled a 4″x3″ piece of White Cardstock with the Brick Stencil to match the frame.
To create the sliding glass door panel, I die cut the pull tab piece twice- once from Acetate and once from Silver Metallic Cardstock. I trimmed the top half of the metallic piece and layered it over the acetate to give it a realistic glass-and-metal look.
I then die cut fancy bordered label out of Ballet Slippers Cardstock using the die from the set. I trimmed a rectangle label out of White Cardstock to fit inside and I stamped it with “Have The Coolest Summer.” I adhered the label onto pull tab panel.
I assembled the interactive mechanism. Lawn Fawn has a great tutorial video on putting together the Pull n’Slide die set, Pull n’ Slide Surprise Instructions.

I stamped and die cut the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I die cut the spoons from Silver Metallic Cardstock.
For the ice cream, I stamped circles from Let’s Bokeh and coloured them with Copic Markers below. I die cut the ice cream containers with the larger size circle die from the same set. I adhered all the images onto the card.
To finish off the greeting, I used the Giant Thank You die to cut the sentiment from both White and Ballet Slippers Cardstock. I layered the white sentiment slightly offset over the pink for a shadowed effect.
Thank you so much for joining me today! I hope you like my ice cream themed Thank You card!

What an awesome card!!! I love it and you are always so clever.
If there was someone who worked at a hardware store, esp in the paints dept, this would also be an excellent way to rep paint mixing or cans of paint.
