Hello Crafty Friends! Today, I am sharing a fun safari-themed platform pop-up card featuring the adorable new “It’s a Bird” stamp set.
To start, I die cut the platform pop up using Pesto Cardstock for the base and White Cardstock for the sky and grass. I die cut and adhered the base together. I ink blended the grass strips with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxides. I splattered some green watercolor for added texture.
I ink blended the cloud inserts with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide using a Cloudy Stencil.
Next, I die cut the coordinating Hillside Wrap Around with paper from the new Bitsy Blooms Petite Paper Pack (super cute paper pack!). I adhered the grass, cloud inserts onto the platform pop-up and the wrap around hillside.

I added a grass border around the edges by die cutting White Cardstock with the Slimline Tropical Leaves Border. I ink blended the border with Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxides. I splattered some green watercolor onto the border for added interest. I adhered the grass border around the bottom of the platform pop-up.
Next, I die cut some leaves from the Tropical Leaves Backdrop and ink blended with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide.

I stamped and die cut all the images with the coordinating dies. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below and adhered the images onto the platform pop-up.
To make the safari truck, I trimmed off the canopy from the treat cart and the roof of the car from Car Critters. I adhered the canopy onto the car. I added a black steering wheel using the round window die from Mushroom House. I stamped a speech bubble from A Birdie Told Me onto paper from Bitsy Blooms Petite Paper Pack. I trimmed off the bottom of the speech bubble and used the top half to make the seat of the car.
To make the sign, I die cut White Cardstock with the rectangle in the platform pop-up set. I coloured the sign with Copic Markers listed below and stamped the sentiment with black ink. I cut 4 thin strips of “wood” using Woodgrain cardstock and I adhered the strips together to form a frame. I tied some string onto corners of the frame and adhered the frame over top of the sign.
I adhered the sign onto the front of the platform pop-up and tucked in the leaves.
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you like my Safari Platform Pop-Up!
