Hello Crafty Friends! I am sharing another card created for the Lawn Fawnatics! Challenge #179 -There’s no place like home, feature scenes from home on your project.
I am surrounded by lakes where I live and we also have a river that runs through the city so for this Challenge, I created a Canoe themed card.
To start, I ink blended a cloudy sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide on A2 White Cardstock using Cloudy Stencil. Next, I die cut some mountains using Mountain Borders. I ink blended the mountains with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and splattered some black watercolour for added texture. I then die cut three panels of water using Ocean Waves and I ink blended the panels with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I added a stitched border by running the pieces through my die cut machine using the largest die from Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.

I created the canoe rental shack by diecutting the cabin from Build-A-Cabin out of White Woodgrain Cardstock. I trimmed the windows and part of the door to create an opening for the shack. I ink blended the shack with Tea dye and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxides. I added a frame around the opening using woodgrain strips ink blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide. I added a latch on the door and an “open” sign on the top of the shack.
I used the porch die in Build-A-House Beach Add-On to create the dock. I added some grass and cattails using dies from Stitched Pond. I ink blended the grass and cattails with Mowed Lawn and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides.
I made the canoes by die cutting White Cardstock with the sand hill die from Life is Good. I ink blended the top of the canoes with Tea Dye Distress Oxide and added stripes using Skinny Stripes Stencil with Blueprint Sketch, Squeezed Lemonade, Festive Berries, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides. I stamp maple leaves on the canoes using Lobster Ink.
I stamped and die cut the rest of images. I coloured the images with Copic Markers listed below. I finished off the card with a Canoe pun!
The Challenge is open until Sunday, September 1st at 11:59PM ET. All entries will have a chance to receive a $50 Lawn Fawn gift card and you will also have a chance to be featured in the Lawn Fawnatics Blog!
Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope you like my card!
